DAILY NUTRITION TIP:  Try cabbage vegetable soup.  Add your favorite vegetables and chopped cabbage to a boiling broth.  Cook for 20 minutes and serve.  Healthful and nutritious!

Today is the SEND-OFF PEP RALLY for BOY’S STATE BASKETBALL at 3:00PM.  Band kids are dismissed at 2:50.  GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   TAKE STATE!!!!

 

Students going to State Basketball are encouraged to participate in the following dress-up days:  Thursday Camo day, Friday is Neon day, Saturday is Blue/Black/White day.  

 

NEEDED:  Teresa Aten is working on a project for upcoming Spring Showcase that requires a lot of square boxes.  If you have any square tissue boxes, larger size square boxes, saltine cracker boxes and/or 12-pack soda boxes please deliver them to the Music Room by March 10th. 

 

STATE BB ROOM AVAILABLE:  one room available for two nights (Thurs and Friday) at downtown Holiday Inn (walking distance to Pershing) for $110 per night.  Please see Kristi if interested. 

 

NOTICE:  any student wanting seconds at breakfast or lunch need to bring $1.00 cash.  Your account will no longer be charged for seconds.  You must have $1.00.

 

SWING CHOIR:  next Tuesday at 7PM.

 

Dinner Theater tickets are on sale now through Sunday.  Make plans to buy your tickets NOW, as no tickets will be sold after Sunday.  See any band or JH/HS swing choir member, Mrs. Reiter or Mr. Brumm to purchase a ticket.  Tickets are $10 and all profits from the dinner theater are used to support music in our school.  ALL performers:  if you will need more tickets than what you currently have, you must see Mrs. Reiter or Mr. Brumm TODAY by 4PM.  ALL unsold tickets and money is due to Mrs. R. or Mr. B no later than NOON on Monday.

 

National Honor Society is going to put in a second shirt order if anyone (not just NHS members) would like to order.  Polos, T-shirts, and blankets will be available.  See Mrs. Luther for an order form.  Orders will be taken through today – shirts will not be available before state basketball. 

 

There will be no school Thursday.  The Boys Basketball Team will play at 2:00 vs. Randolph @ Lincoln Northeast High School. Also there is no school on Friday for Spring break.  

 

A reminder to all National Honor Society candidates need to turn in their membership profile to Mrs. Luther by Monday, March 15th at 4:00PM.

 

JUNIORS/SENIORS/PROM SERVERS:  you all need to pick up a post prom sheet from Kristi’s desk.  There’s one stack for the seniors and one stack for juniors/servers. 

 

Sunday is Daylight Savings Time.  Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night. 

 

FCA:  Sunday at 7PM.

 

Monday is the JH Wrestling tournament at Overton at 12:30.

 

GOLF:  anyone interested in going out for golf should attend the meeting on Monday at 3:30 in the Distance Learning room, room 210.

 

Next Tuesday is FKC Quiz Bowl @ Wilcox/Hildreth at 4 PM.  Please excuse the following students at the end of sixth period on Tuesday to participate in the FKC quiz bowl at Wilcox: Chuck Else, Jacob Jensen, Brandon Jerred, Ethan Johnson, Justin Johnson, KC DeFilipps, Grace Ecklund, and Cody Eilers.

 

Next Tuesday the Sophomores are going to a Career Fair in Lexington.
